Proper planning of implant treatment is very important to me. Based on the literature and many years of clinical experience, I know how important it is to comprehensively plan implant prosthetic work, taking into account the shape and size of the final implant reconstruction and to correctly position implants in tissues, in the sites defined by the aforementioned prosthetic work.
In addition, I pay special attention to the intermediate elements that connect the
implants with prosthetic works - abutments.
Based on the literature, we know today what parameters of abutment - height, angle,
shape, profile - are suitable for maintaining healthy and stable tissues around
implants, and thus also the prevention of peri-implantitis.
What's more, similar parameters of healing abutments (HA) can affect how tissues
around the implants will form during the healing stage.
For several years, as part of cooperation with Osstem Implants and 3D Industrial Imaging, I have been involved in the development of virtual libraries and software functionalities in order to introduce new functions and develop automated mechanisms for backward, biological treatment planning and implant positioning.
In 2023, I developed my own, in line with current knowledge (EBD) and
implant manufacturer's guidelines, automated settings and parameters for
3D positioning of implants for three different types of planning for Osstem TSIII/ Hiossen ETIII implants.
Dr. Zadrożny Presets 1, 2, 3
Presets allow for quick and automatic selection of the right implant size for
reconstruction of a given tooth and positioning the implant in relation to the virtual
wax-up through a suitable prosthetic abutment or healing abutment.
Preset 1
for positioning implants for open healing, with the use of virtual libraries of healing abutments (HA) with dimensions that meet biological requirements, shaping the Implant Supra Complex (ISC) and preventing the development of Periimplantitis.
Preset 2
for positioning of immediate implants and immediate loading in the anterior region, on abutments with dimensions that meet the biological requirements, shaping the Implant Supra Complex (ISC) and preventing the development of Peri-implantitis.
Preset 3
for positioning implants for full-arch reconstruction with Multi Unit abutments (MUA) with dimensions that meet biological requirements, shaping Implant Supra Complex (ISC) and preventing the development of Peri-implantitis.
The Presets I developed were created for the software DentiqGuide, and thanks to the cooperation with 3D Industrial Imaging, in the version available from February 2024, it is possible to import Presets from a file that you can download from the link below.
I make the presets available in an open form under the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 Deed license. My goal is to make it easier for each doctor to plan treatments in accordance with current knowledge and in a way that ensures effective and sustainable treatment of patients.
I only ask that people using them comply with the provisions resulting from the
the license.
